Recipe: Apple Crumble

This apple crumble is a simple take on an old classic, using whole foods! Perfect snack, served with your favorite greek yogurt.


INGREDIENTS

The apple mix:

5 x apples 

2 tablespoons coconut or brown sugar

1/4 cup of water  

1/2 cup of coconut flour 

+

The crumble mix:

1.5 cups whole oats 

1/2 cup desiccated coconut 

2 tablespoons rice malt syrup

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 tablespoon coconut oil 


METHOD:

1. Peel and dice the apples into small cubes and add to a saucepan with the brown sugar and water 

2. Simmer the apple mix for 5-10mins or until the apple is soft 

3. Stir the the coconut flour through, to thicken your apple mix 

4. Spoon the apple mix into an oven proof dish

5. For the crumble, combine the ingredients in a bowl

6. Top the apple mix with your crumble, and bake on 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes
